Oregon Intervention System (OIS) Classes

Certified Training for Safe, Respectful Crisis Prevention and Intervention

We provide 24-hour residential group home services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in safe, welcoming homes that we own and operate.

Each of our homes supports 3 to 5 residents, offering the comfort of a small community combined with the peace of mind that comes with professional, around-the-clock care. Whether someone is highly independent or needs significant medical and behavioral support, we create personalized environments where individuals can thrive.

What We Offer:

  • OIS Certification Classes
Comprehensive training that covers both prevention and intervention      strategies, with a focus on reducing the need for physical interventions.

  • Crisis Prevention Techniques
Learn how to recognize early warning signs of distress, defuse tension,      and use verbal de-escalation techniques to prevent escalation.

  • Safe Physical Intervention Skills
Our instructor leads participants in learning safe, approved methods for protective physical interventions (PPI),      focusing on safety, consent, and respect.

  • Behavioral Supports for Challenging      Situations
Guidance on how to apply Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) and      Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) in crisis situations to maintain      long-term success and stability.

  • Hands-On Training & Practice
Participants will engage in realistic scenarios and role-playing to      practice techniques and strategies in a supportive learning environment.
